I was very hesitant to take an online course; in my mind it did not seem like an effective way to learn. But I must say that I am amazed at how much Hebrew I've learned in just 3 weeks. And, it is really convenient to have the lesson at home or at work and not have to commute to a classroom.

In order to provide people anywhere in the world with the opportunity to learn Hebrew, we offer our courses over the internet.
The material and class structure are the same as those of the small, friendly, state-of-the-art classes conducted in person in Israel, except for the fact that students and instructor collaborate over Skype instead of face-to-face.
In the Ulpan La-Inyan online courses, we use some but not all of the elements featured in this video.
When do classes start?
We offer our online classes on-demand, on a rolling basis. That is, if we are approached by a pre-organized group of 6-12 individuals wishing to take a particular six-week, daily course on a particular schedule, we'll arrange for it to happen.
Likewise, we are able to put together a local class in your area, provided there is someone who can teach it (i.e. is fluent in both English and Hebrew, knows how to use a computer and works well with people).
What do I need to participate?
All you'll need to participate is a fast internet connection and the ability to use Skype (program and microphone). If you don't have Skype yet, you can download it for free.
