Hebrew Verb Tenses

People often wonder, Is it hard to learn Hebrew?

Hebrew is a very different language from English. This difference poses a challenge to those unfamiliar with Hebrew basics.

Hebrew verb tenses, however, are much easier to learn than English.

Think about – English has twelve verb tenses (here’s a page that summarizes them). Modern Hebrew has only three.

The Modern Hebrew tenses:

Past – òÈáÈø

Present – äåÉåÆä or áÌÅéðåÉðÄé

Future – òÈúÄéã

Each tense has unique characteristics that make it easily spotted and, with training, easily produced and pronounced for a variety of verbs.
