I was very hesitant to take an online course; in my mind it did not seem like an effective way to learn.
But I must say that I am amazed at how much Hebrew I've learned in just 3 weeks.
And, it is really convenient to have the lesson at home or at work and not have to commute to a classroom.

The material and class structure are the same as those of the small, friendly, state-of-the-art classes conducted in person in Israel, except that students and instructor collaborate online instead of in person. I liked the flexibility of doing the course from home. I had no formal Hebrew learning, I'm in my late 50s, and I work full time, yet I had no problem in starting the course and keeping up with the material... Ami is a very effective teacher and the method is very natural and non stressful.
I learned things from Ami in the 1 1/2 levels that I completed that I use every day now. The method is effective and retention is very good. I would definitely take more classes with Ami when my schedule permits it.

I am about half way into a Level 1 course and I am enjoying it immensely. As compared with the traditional ulpan it is much more personal, and it is devoted to speaking Hebrew without the stress on learning grammar. I also appreciate being able to take the course online,in my home.
