How to Say “Come With Me” in Hebrew – Ulpan La-Inyan

Here’s a phrase we teach in our Level 1 course: בוא איתי
– come with me. בוא
means “come!”, while איתי
means “with me.”
We use בוא איתי
when speaking to a male. To a female we use בואי
, adding י-
to the end to make it a feminine imperative (command). And to more than one person we add ּו-
to the end: בואו
.
For example:
בואו איתי למסיבה, יהיה כיף!
Come with me (guys) to the party, it’ll be fun!
בוא
is an imperative form of לבוא
– to come, a simple verb of the root ב.ו.א
.
איתי
is a form of את
, which sometimes means with. More on that in today’s video.
