How to Say “Feeling” in Hebrew – Ulpan La-Inyan
הַרְגָּשָׁה, תְּחוּשָׁה
The Hebrew word for emotion is רגש
, whose three letters form the root of להרגיש
– to feel, a
הפעיל verb
.
Likewise, a feeling is הרגשה
, as in:
יש לי הרגשה טובה לגביה.
I have a good feeling about her.
Another word for feeling is תחושה
, though תחושה
is strictly-speaking a sensation (חוש
means
sense
).
For example:
יש לי תחושה שאתה צודק, אדם.
I have a feeling that you’re right, Adam.
And
שוקולד עם פצפצים גורם לתחושה מיוחדת בפה.
Chocolate with pop rocks causes a special sensation in the mouth.
