A political or social movement by nature has to do with moving, not staying in one place. The more common word for movement in Hebrew is תנועה , which applies to movements both literal and symbolic, such as traffic and communism.
As in other religions, there are several religious movements in Judaism.
When it comes to Judaism, זרמים (movements) include Orthodox, Conservative, Reform, Reconstructionist, etc. When a movement borders on becoming a separate religion, the expression would be פלג דתי – religious faction.
