The physical shopping cart they make you pay a deposit for in Israeli supermarkets is
or עגלת קניות
.
For example:
Could you give me five shekels to release the cart?
A shopping basket that you might carry around by hand (if you don’t want to pay the deposit, for example) is סל קניות
.
You’ll find both עגלת קניות
(or עגלה) and סל קניות
appearing on websites representing a virtual “shopping cart”.
For example:
After confirming the shopping cart, the customer is transferred to the payment page.
