how to say “weekend” in Hebrew

The Jews brought a weekly day off to the western world – שבת
. Since then many societies have added an additional day of relaxation, creating a weekend.
In Hebrew, weekend is סוף שבוע
(sometimes spelled סופשבוע) – or abbreviated to סופ”ש
.
For example:
אנחנו מאחלים לכם סופשבוע רגוע.
We wish you a calm weekend.

Not really though – it’s only Tuesday.
