הַשְׁקָפַת עוֹלָם

The word for glassesמשקפיים – comes from the root ש.ק.פ , one of the roots that mean vision.

In the הפעיל verb form, להשקיף means to look out on. Likewise, השקפה means outlook, with השקפת עולם meaning worldview.

For example:

הם מסתדרים ביחד למרות השקפות עולם שונות.

They get along despite different worldviews.
