how to say “(shopping) cart” in Hebrew

עֲגָלָה

The word for cart and for stroller (pram) are the same: עגלה .

For example:

שימי את הפריטים בעגלה.

Put the items in the cart. (to a female)

and

תוציא את התינוק מהעגלה.

Take the baby out of the stroller. (to a male)

The terms can get more specific – עגלת קניות for shopping cart and עגלת תינוקות for baby carriage – but in day-to-day speech you’re more likely to hear simply עגלה.
