הֶחְלֵטִי
If you’re a person who makes decisions quickly and sticks to them, you are החלטי
— decisive.
This is the adjective form of the root ח.ל.ט
, which appears in the verb להחליט
–
to decide
. In the current war, we look for decisiveness in our commanders and in our own daily lives to keep moving forward despite the pressure.
In context:
הוא ענה בצורה החלטית ולא השאיר מקום לספק.
He answered in a decisive manner and left no room for doubt.
In this example, החלטי
gets the feminine ת
– ending, since it refers to צורה
– manner, a feminine noun.
The word החלטי
— decisive is a
Level 6
word in the Ulpan La-Inyan system.
