How do you say tariff in Hebrew? Depends on what kind of tariff you’re talking about.

If it’s tariff in the sense of a set fare, a rate, the word is תעריף
. The Hebrew word sounds like the English because both come originally from تعريف – tariff in Arabic.
For example:
בכל המוניות תעריף ב’ הוא מחיר מיוחד בשעות הלילה.
In all taxis tariff 2 is a special price for (in) the night hours.

But if you’re referring to a tariff in the sense of an import duty, the word – which appears in Biblical Hebrew – is מכס
.
For example:
נראה מה יהיה עם המכסים של טראמפ.
We’ll see what will be with Trump’s tariffs.
