מְאוֹד מְרַגֵּשׁ
If you take the letter E off the word emotion, you get motion (amazing how that was right under our noses but we may never have noticed).
When we talk about something moving in the sense of stirring up emotion, Hebrew speakers use מרגש
, whose root is ר.ג.ש
meaning feeling or emotion.
For example:
זה היה מאוד מרגש מה שכתבת לי.
It was very moving what you (a female) wrote to me.
This word מרגש
is a form of the
פיעל verb
לרגש
– to excite, to move/touch emotionally.
