To add, in Hebrew, is להוסיף (a הפעיל verb).
For example:
אפשר להוסיף אותך בתור חברה בפייסבוק?
Can I add you (a female) as a friend on Facebook?
Now, while the act of adding is הוספה, an addition is תוספת, as in:
איך מכינים את העוגה הזאת ללא תוספת סוכר?
How do you make this cake without added (an addition of) sugar?
תוספת can also refer to a side dish. But when it comes to pizza, תוספת means topping:
איזה תוספות תרצו? בצל? פטריות? אננס?
What toppings would guys like? Onion? Mushrooms? Pineapple?
