The Hebrew word for to see is לראות
, a simple verb, as in:
ממש חשוך פה – אי אפשר לראות כלום.
It’s really dark here – you can’t (it’s impossible to) see anything.
Using the future tense, we get נראה
for “we will see”:
עוד נראה מה יקרה השנה.
We’ll see yet what will happen this year.
Notice that the word נראה
already has “we” built into it, indicated by the first letter נ
, which is the dominant sound in אנחנו
– we.
